Banja Vrujci

Banja Vrujci is a town/spa located in the northwestern part of Serbia, spread around the hillsides of Suvobor mountain and the River Toplica valley. It is most famous for its healing water which is also used for bottling VodaVoda, a brand of mineral water in Serbia. VodaVoda is now being sold in many countries worldwide, like Russia, Czech Republic, and Japan.

Vrujci Spa is situated in a narrow valley, on the banks of the Toplica river. It is 92 km southwest of Belgrade, at 179 to 252m above sea level.

There are 6 springs of mineral water in the spa (with a temperature of 26 to 27 degrees Celsius), along with curative mud.

Medical indications: rheumatism, gynaecological illnesses, anaemia, stones in kidneys and the urinary tract, skin diseases, taster healing of wounds, diseases of the eyes.

For therapeutic purposes, mineral water is used for bathing and drinking. Peloid mud is used in wrappings.

Vrujci Spa is at the feet of Suvobor and Maljen mountains. In the vicinity of the spa there are village households which are fully equipped for taking guests in. The area of Vrujci is characteristic for its picturesque landscapes and bountiful woods. Mountains around the town of Valjevo are very good for hunting, and the Toplica, Kolubara and Lepenica rivers are very good for sport fishing.

Not far from the spa there are many sites of cultural and historical significance: Struganik, the village in which general Zivojin Misic was born, the Bogovadja monastery and Mount Divcibare.

The visitors of the spa can enjoy the use of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym and sauna. .
